Letting Go and Let God

Problems are like bubble floating in the colourful sky. It will soon burst and disappear! It's the colourful sky that will last.

Life has its up and down days.

Today i had both up to begin with and down to end off with.

Yay!! To the final observation by my NIE supervisor and his wonderful comments that encouraged me to strive to be the best teacher that change life. My friends were saying that he ate the happy pill today. A good ending to my PE practicum with his smile on his face. A totally different person today who bought me a drink as a form of reward/encouragement.

However, the down moment came during lunch when i had an urgent call to see the vice principal. She wanted me to write an email to request to be posted back. Initially, i didn’t think much but looking back at the teachers who got called by the principal to confirm their posting and he said that not everyone is posted back. Maybe they knew that i didn’t get posted back so they quickly called the HQ. Haiz… It’s a 50-50 chance so i have already prepared myself for this day to come but i guess it’s the letting go part that is hard. The Lord has been good to me, teaching me to slowly let go of my volleyball girls and maybe now if more is to come when it’s time to say goodbye. It won’t hurt so much.

I need strength to let go for my flesh and mind is weak.

Seeing my volleyball girls training in the hall, peeping at them from the stairs, melts my heart saying Lord these girls are yours and now i’m giving them back to you. That i know you are in full control of their life. I felt like crying at that moment remembering the tough time we when through and the fun times we laugh together. Miss  you’ll my babies, may you grow strong in the Lord and be the best volleyballer that you can be. :)

Bring out the colour of Volleyball

Time to be M.A.D

  • No Relief Lesson

  • No Naught Kids

  • No Remedial

  • No CCA

  • No seems like an ideal word

A new word i’ve learnt today, M.A.D, being a teacher we have to be MAD. We must be MAD to be in this line too. And i’m enjoying every single moment of it, I must be really MAD!!! Hahaha… Back home at my Hill, seems so homely and comfy to be back. Woo… the load is coming in one (subject), two (subjects), three (subjects + CCA), four (subjects+CCA+ relief), five(lesson plan to do). Ahh… But my volleyball sessions are my relaxing time to destress (clearing throat) Hahah… Loving it!

Making A Different

I DARE YOU

Back to nature before Day Break

Day started early before the break of dawn down by the lovely Macritchie Reservoir for a nice long running with Mary through nature park.

It was totally heavenly and it seems like we were in another country after from the husser & busser of our crazy city we live in. into a place that is peaceful and calm.

We started when the day was still dark at 630am, couldn’t see must through the dark bushes. Thus, warming up by walking along the board walk before starting to run at the first day break of light but it was still slightly dark to run so mostly relying on our senses and feel of the ground to run. Thankfully, no injures throughout the whole run and guess the ankle is well condition for such terrain. I love running in the trails, never know where the path will lead and it seems easy to run, like the strength comes from the surrounding pushing me on. Amazing feeling! Once i hit the road, it’s like oh my straight road ahead. Ah… so expected! I want something new and refreshing away from the daily things we can find. I guess that’s my reason why i love running in the trails. Rejuvenating after a long school week! I’m going to do it every week to relax and there’s someone doing it with me so why not. (oops not one but many) My parents came along to walk too so it’s like a win win situation. I get a ride there on my dad’s car for my run and they get a workout too. Best!

Looking forward to going wild again next Saturday!

KL Towerthon

My favourite race data is out and it’s going to be a night race instead of the normal morning race. Doubly excited!!!!

Date: 13th March 2010

Thank you Lord for answering my prayers. :)

I climb for you found me at the top and brought me back. I’ll never forget that very day and the journey along these few years. Thank you for loving me and giving me this chance to honour you with what I have.

"Check out the differences. White vs Black"

See what cycling can do?

What are you waiting for

Time to hit the road on two wheels!

We did just that. A sms in and a bike out to join three other on our two wheels trying to melt off the excess fats. We were on our way to Changi Village, ok, maybe not melt the fat. Hey what else can u do at Changi Village, eat, drink and see aqua? I’ll give the last two a miss, one i’m cycling = drinking, aqua doesn’t interest me. So let’s chance the it to control the fats, input = output.

Nasi Lemak, we shared together with chicken wings and sambal stingray. Still sound reasonable but as we walked finding for chee chong fun because my dear was craving for it. We found a nice tim sum place that tempted Silly with the yummy pastry. Durian Spring Roll, a good combination i must say.  Pollo Bun that looked fake,i gave it a poke to test it out. It’s sticky with honey and sweet on consumption, quite a unique one i ever eaten. So much for controlling.

Probably I’ll play more badminton to ‘tone up the butt’ (Silly, 2009)

Finish with the eatting and bike on the road with lots of energy to spare. So up we go toward the slope of loyang hill trying to sing a long line in one breath to add in to the fun. All sing but the words soon to jumble up. Why?

Here’s why…

The worm was on the hook, the hook was on the line, the line was on the hand, the hand was on the arm, the arm was on the boy, the boy was on the rock, the rock was on the stream, the stream was on it way…a!

It was a lovely night of fun, laugher, joy and a sore butt.

Training Day 1

"Baby steps one at a time" Warm up

After not running for the past month, every step taken seems heavier and even the lung shows sign of struggle trying to battle the clogged up nostrils. The alarm sounding that the body has hit the unfit level. Who says 2km is easy if you just started running again.

The first step is always the hardest but I’m glad I did.

Small but it’s going to get bigger maybe into this

When it came to the stairs training, the baby wanted to fly up the building instead of first crawling. I did a 5 storey x3 but went up too fast with too little rest in between, that when i rested at the top everythings seems to be spinning and the heart seems to be beating way to fast. SO SCARY feel i thought i was going to have a heart attack. Hearing on the news how runners just fall flat and get into cardio arrest then died. At least i could still stand but after awhile i decided to lie flat on the floor to control the breathing. Thankfully after awhile it got better and was able to get home to continue lying down on my bedroom floor. Lesson learnt not to fly before you can crawl unless you’re a bird. Next stairs interval will take it easier with more rest interval.
